"What does it mean to be flayed in the 21st century ?"
The emotion it conveys is enormous.
The body is worn out due to contemporary life and can’t escape. Mass media submerges the individual.
Progress makes him static, inert, depressed, suicidal.
Is the man victim of progress ? Led by a grenade pushing him into scenes of atrocious violence ?
In my paintings these abused bodies are thrown about, lost, drowned. Men’s brain like black suns, are engulfed in a society which beckons the individual into nothingness…a society of scattered reflections.
Tonight’s meeting place, the slaughter house.
